Shortly after 8:30 eight people on seven bikes took off from BP North heading for Esk. It was a bright sunny morning and quite warm!

Not much traffic on the road so was a pleasant ride via Neurum Rd at Woodford and Gregors Creek Rd after Kilcoy. The temperature of theday was rising rapidly so by the time we stopped for morning tea at Esk a cold drink and shady rest spot were called for.

Moving on from Esk we rode up the Hampton Range and then turned north to ride around Lake Perseverance onto the New England Hwy and south to The Farmers Arms at Cabarlah for lunch. We had experienced some coolspots along the way, but the weather by now had turned to quite hot. This was along lunch break due to a mix up of orders in the pub, but we had plenty of time so what the he!!!!.

Leaving Cabarlah and it was now more than "quite hot", riding south and then turning left onto Murphy Creek Rd. Great road but really holds the heat, the Goldwing air temp gauge was showing"40c".

We crossed the Warrego Hwy through Grantham and onto Gatton. From Gatton back across to Esk and then up into the cool "Heaven" of Mount Glorious where we stopped for a cool drink. We met up here with Branch Presidents returning from a meeting at Aratula. It had been a great, though somewhat warm days riding.

The trip home from Glorious was much cooler and it was great to get back to the cooler sea breezes. We had covered the best part of 500ks,but for Charlie on the Kwaka chookie it probably felt double that. Thanks to all for a great day out
